About Me

JEN Lester: American visual Artist Jen Lester. self- representing, JEN creates Vibrant, modern, visionary paintings on canvas or wood, as well as drawings, and hand pressed prints from her own carved blocks, Similar in technique of classical Japanese print making. Much of her art is nature-inspired, yet drawn from her own internal world. JEN is continually exploring themes, variations, materials. The act of painting, creating, is her passion and what drives her. "The physical paintings are just trapped moments in time, a record of something magical and intangible that can only be felt. I think people respond to truth, and direct raw energy, and I find this is what draws viewers into my work. I believe art is the highest form of communication we have to offer each other. I never follow trends, I create them."
